Quick answer

How much does a contractor website cost at Turnpike Tech? $249 a month, all in, with $0 due upfront. We research your business, write and build your website, host it, and keep it current. A free sample of your actual site is built before you pay anything, and your domain is registered in your name. Every page is structured to rank on Google, show up in local map results, and be quoted by AI search tools. One plan, published price, no quote roulette.

Sound familiar?

The website is the part of the business nobody has time for

Owners tell us the same four stories, in almost the same words. If one of them is yours, this page is the way out of it.

Contractor at a kitchen table late at night, stuck in a do-it-yourself website builder

“My web guy disappeared.” The most common story in this business. He has your logins, your domain, maybe a half-finished site, and he is not answering. Owners end up rebuilding from zero, on a site they cannot even log into.

“I lost whole evenings to a website builder.” Owners describe 60-hour battles with do-it-yourself builders and hundreds of dollars spent with nothing live to show for it. After a full day on the tools, you became the designer, the writer, and tech support.

“I am embarrassed when customers Google us.” Your work closes jobs. Your website talks people out of calling. If you wince before you send someone to your site, it is costing you more than it cost to build.

“Google acts like we do not exist.” A site search engines were never told to index, a Google profile whose website link goes nowhere, service pages that never name your towns. Invisible is worse than ugly, because nobody ever tells you.

What $249 covers

Built to win the click, maintained so you never think about it

Not a template with your name pasted in. Your site is researched and written from your business, then kept current by people you can reach.

Researched first

We study your reviews, services, service area, and competitors before we write a word. The site sounds like your shop because it is built from your shop, not from a theme gallery.

Your reviews, up front

The proof you already earned goes on the homepage where it closes jobs: your Google rating and your best reviews, quoted word for word. Most shops bury their best asset. Yours will lead.

A page for every service

Each service you sell gets its own page, written the way homeowners actually search, with the towns you serve named on it. That is how Google matches your shop to the job.

Built to ring the phone

Click-to-call on every page, your number where a thumb expects it, real photos of your work with captions, and an estimate form that asks the questions you would ask. Pretty is not the goal. Ringing is.

Google profile, wired in

We check the website link on your Google Business Profile, fix it if it is dead or empty, and line up your hours, services, and service area everywhere. This is the invisible website problem, and we check for it on every build.

Kept current for you

Hosting, security, backups, and changes are on us. New service, new photos, new hours: you call or text what changed and we make it so. You never log into anything, and there is no web guy to chase.

Every page has one job: start the conversation

Your rating where eyes land first, beside the services it proves, not hidden on a reviews page nobody opens.

A call button a thumb cannot miss, on every screen, at every scroll depth, on the phone your customers are actually holding.

An estimate form that pre-qualifies, asking about the job, the property, and the timeline, so the leads that reach you are worth the callback.

Current dates and real work, because an outdated copyright year and stock photos tell homeowners you have gone quiet.

Found everywhere customers look

Built to rank on Google, show up in Maps, and get recommended by AI

A good-looking site nobody finds is a business card in a drawer. Visibility is not an add-on in this offer. It is half the build, and it is maintained every month, not set and forgotten.

Rank on Google

Service and town pages written around the exact searches your customers run, fast load times on phones, and indexing verified before launch, so Google can actually find every page. No honest firm can promise you a position on the first page, and neither will we. What we promise is that nothing basic is left undone, because first pages are built out of exactly those basics, and most shops we audit are missing half of them.

Local and Maps ranking

The map results are where homeowners pick who to call. We build out your Google Business Profile completely: the right categories, every service listed, real photos, correct hours, your full service area, and the website link that sends searchers to you. Your profile and your site tell the same story everywhere, because Google ranks what agrees with itself.

Recommended by AI search

More homeowners now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity who to call, and those tools name businesses whose facts are clear, consistent, and easy to quote: services, towns, prices, and straight answers to common questions, with structured data underneath. We build your site in that quotable shape, so when AI answers your next customer, it can read you, trust you, and name you.

Reviews that keep compounding

Rankings follow proof, and reviews are the strongest proof a local shop has. Your newest reviews get featured on your homepage as we maintain your site, one-tap review links go where happy customers will actually use them, and your rating sits beside your services everywhere a decision gets made. Your reputation stops being a buried asset and starts doing the ranking work it should.

How we set up your Google Business Profile

Most shops have a profile Google created for them and nobody has ever properly finished. Half-done profiles are exactly why good shops rank under worse ones. Here is what "done" looks like when we set yours up:

Claimed and verified in your name. The profile is created or claimed under your Google account and verified with our guidance, so you hold the keys, not us.
Categories set right. Your main money service becomes the primary category, with secondary categories for everything else you want calls for.
Every service listed. Each service gets its own listing with a plain-language description, matched to the service pages on your website.
Service area mapped. Every town you actually serve is added, so you show up in the searches coming from the places you will drive to.
Hours that tell the truth. Regular hours, holiday hours, and emergency or after-hours availability set the way customers actually need them.
Real photos, loaded. Your trucks, your crew, your shop, and finished jobs, because profiles with real photos get the calls photos of nothing do not.
Trust attributes set. Licensed, insured, locally owned, and any other true badges your business qualifies for, switched on instead of left blank.
Website and review links wired. Your profile's website button points at your live site and gets tested, and your one-tap review link is created for your invoices, texts, and truck decals.

Then it stays current with your site: new services, new photos, hour changes, and seasonal pushes go up on both, together, every month.

How it works

You see your actual website before you pay anything

No portfolio of strangers' sites, no mockup with your name dropped in. The sample is your business, researched and built.

1

Research

We audit what customers find today: your site if you have one, your Google profile and its website link, your reviews, and the shops competing for your towns. You hear the findings straight.

Free
2

Sample

We build your actual website as a sample, most ready for your review within a week of the research call. It costs you nothing and commits you to nothing.

3

Approval

You mark what to change: wording, photos, services, towns. We revise until it sounds like you on your best day. Nothing publishes without your sign-off.

4

Launch and upkeep

Your site goes live on your domain, your Google profile gets connected and checked, your pages are submitted to Google for indexing, and we keep it all current every month after. Changes are a call or a text away.

You own it. No hostage situations.

Your domain is registered in your name, under your control, from day one. Your photos, your reviews, and your words are yours. If you ever leave, we hand over your content and help you land on your feet. Some providers say, in their own FAQs, that they keep your website unless you pay a buyout, or that leaving means rebuilding your site from scratch on a new system. That will never be our answer.

In your nameDomain and Google profile, owned by you from the start.

On exitYour content handed over, with help moving. No buyout.
A real sample build

We rebuilt this firm's website before they paid us a cent

East Latitude, LLC is a New Jersey hydrogeologic consulting firm. Their old website ran four thin pages: an old address still showing on one page, nothing ranking on Google, their strongest proof (over a billion gallons of water allocation permitted) buried where nobody reads, and not one page for the golf course work they wanted more of.

Six pages, each with a job: water supply permitting, a dedicated golf course page for the work they want more of, land surveying, and a founder page that tells the principal's real story.

The proof moved up front: a client's recommendation and the billion-gallon track record sit on the homepage, not buried three clicks deep.

Built from the record: the copy came from research into the firm's actual permits, dockets, and credentials. Nothing invented, nothing templated.

Sample build, published with the firm's details as researched. Final wording and photos are always the client's to approve.

Why a 12-month agreement?

Because we front the whole build. We research, write, and build your website before you pay anything, and the agreement year is how that work gets paid for without a four-figure invoice up front. Your rate does not change during the agreement, and after month 12 you are month to month for as long as the site earns its keep.

Do it yourselfBuilders run $10 to $139/mo in published 2026 guides, and the real cost is your evenings. You stay the designer, writer, and support desk.
Hire a typical buildPublished guides put a professional contractor site at $800 to $3,000 up front, plus $30 to $300/mo to host and maintain it.
Big platformsThe largest names publish no website price at all, and their own FAQs quote launches at 4 to 10 weeks. Turnpike's sample is in front of you in the first week.

Straight answers

Questions every owner asks us

How much does a contractor website cost?

At Turnpike Tech, $249 a month with $0 due upfront, and that covers research, writing, design, build, hosting, and upkeep. For comparison, published 2026 guides put a typical professional contractor build at $800 to $3,000 up front plus $30 to $300 a month to host and maintain, and do-it-yourself builders at $10 to $139 a month before you count your own evenings. We publish our price because we would want to see it too.

Do I really need a website if my Facebook page brings in business?

Yes, and keep the Facebook page too. Facebook is rented ground: it does not rank for the service searches that bring in new customers, it shows a login wall to people without an account, and if the account is ever locked, your presence goes with it. Your website is the one piece of the internet you own. It is where your reviews, services, and phone number work for you around the clock, on your terms.

Should I use a website builder or hire someone to make my site?

A builder is cheaper in dollars and more expensive in the currency you are shortest on: evenings. Owners regularly lose dozens of hours to a builder and still end up with something that looks homemade, because the tool does not write your copy, choose your proof, or structure your service pages for search. Hiring it done means the research, writing, build, and upkeep are somebody else's job, and the sample lets you judge the result before you pay.

Who owns my website and my domain?

You do. Your domain is registered in your name and stays under your control from day one, and your photos, reviews, and content are yours. If you ever leave, we hand over your content and help you move. Read other providers' FAQs closely: some keep ownership of your site unless you pay a buyout, and some make you rebuild from scratch when you go. Ours is written to be quoted against theirs.

What exactly does the monthly payment cover?

Everything the website needs to stay an asset instead of a chore: hosting, security, and backups; the research, writing, and build up front; your Google Business Profile website link checked and fixed; and changes whenever you need them, by call or text. New services, new photos, new hours, seasonal pages: handled. There are no per-edit fees and no surprise invoices.

How long until my website is live?

Your sample is ready for review within days of the research call, most within a week. Launch follows your approval, on your schedule. For contrast, the biggest platforms quote 4 to 10 weeks in their own FAQs, and premium agencies can run around 100 days. Sample-first means the timeline question gets answered with a website, not a promise.

I already have a website. Can you fix it instead?

Start with the free audit and we will tell you straight. Sometimes the bones are good and a focused fix is the right call. More often, the honest answer is a rebuild on your same domain, keeping the rankings and reviews you have earned, because patching a dated site costs more than replacing it. Either way, you approve a sample before anything about your current site changes.

Will this get me on the first page of Google?

Nobody honest can guarantee a position, and you should run from anyone who does. Here is what actually decides local rankings: complete service and town pages, a fully built-out Google profile, a steady flow of reviews, fast pages, and business facts that agree everywhere. Most shops we audit are missing several of those, which is exactly why the opportunity is there. We do all of it inside this plan, on Google, in Maps, and in the AI search tools homeowners are starting to ask instead, and your free audit shows you where you stand before we start.

What if I am not happy with the sample?

Then you have spent nothing but a short call. The sample exists so the risk sits with us, not with you: if the work does not convince you, walk away and keep the audit findings. If it is close but not right, tell us what feels off and we revise. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.

See your shop the way your customers see it.

Book a short call. We audit your current presence first and show you what we found, good and bad, in plain language. If a new website makes sense, your sample follows within the week. If it does not, the findings are yours to keep either way.
